34 years ago on March 21, 1986, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and given a 50/50 chance to survive. Now I'm giving back by running for cures with Team In Training and showing my appreciation to thousands of those who were there for many who are impacted by blood cancers. In 2018, I had the biggest opportunity to run my very first marathon with Team In Training. By being out there on the 26.2 race course it was truly remarkable how many people were there to celebrate TNT's 30th Anniversary! It was amazing! I am so forever grateful and appreciative for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the campaigns! Thank you again for helping survivors like me have another opportunity of life!
